The 2018 UBC Biennial Graduate Student Research Conference on Children’s Literature Committee is happy to invite you to our conference, In the Shadows: Illuminating Monstrosity in Children’s and Young Adult Literature and Culture. This year’s conference will be held from Friday, May 11th to Saturday, May 12th in Buchanan A and B at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In addition to our fourteen panels featuring over forty graduate students from around the world, we will have keynote presentations from Dr. Elaine Ostry of SUNY Plattsburgh and best-selling young adult author Rachel Hartman.
