Travel Funding

There are several resources available for MACL students traveling on university business (e.g. conferences).

UBC iSchool Student Conference Travel Fund

The UBC iSchool Student Conference Travel Fund is to support student travel to conferences. This funding is exclusively for those presenting in a conference. Graduate Students are able to apply for a maximum of $500 worth of iSchool Conference Travel grant funding per academic year. Applications can be made prior to or following the event.
 
To apply for travel funding, complete the travel fund application form on their website. There are 15 awards to be given out per year. Awards will be assigned until funding runs out.

UBC Graduate School (Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies)

Graduate Student Travel and Research Dissemination Fund
Graduate students are eligible for reimbursement from the Graduate Student Travel and Research Dissemination Fund once per degree program. The Travel and Research Dissemination Fund provides funding support to a combined maximum of $500 per graduate student.
 
UBC Travel Smart
UBC students who travel on university business such as to a conference or as part of a field project might be eligible to use the Travel at UBC program that provides university discount rates.
